FromSoftware Inc. has released Elden Ring is an action role-playing video game that has been published by Bandai Namco Entertainment in February 2022. This new dark fantasy action RPG includes soul-like characters and gameplay with stunning graphics quality. But some Elden Ring players are experiencing no audio issue out of the blue. Where the game audio is muted, or sound is cutting out randomly. If you are having the same exact problem or if the game’s sound seems to be crackling, this troubleshooting guide should help.

When Elden Ring was released recently, it came with a lot of minor issues. While developers are still trying to patch the game, some minor issues regarding graphics, controls, or audio pop up from time to time. One of such issues is the sometimes random loss of audio in the middle of the game. This is strange as the audio goes on mute without any warning or error message.

Fix: Elden Ring No Audio | Sound Cutting Out

This guide is made assuming that the sound issue is from Elden Ring game only. If you are facing sound issues from your PC (i.e, all the apps sound not working), then we recommend you follow the basic troubleshooting steps.

  • Configure default sound device
  • Reinstall audio drivers
  • Check audio output devices
  • Check Windows audio settings

Or you may follow our comprehensive guide on fixing sound issues on Windows PC.

Restart Devices

Since Cyberpunk is prone to errors, restarting the game will help to reload all the game files and fix the issue. Sometimes restarting your PC may also help with the process.

Check the basics

Sometimes it happens that the headphone we are suing has gone malfunctioning due to overstretching the audio cable. It is also possible that you mistakenly have pressed the mute button, and now the game is on mute. Please check the Windows Sound Settings, choose the correct output device (if you have more than one), or use the Troubleshoot button to let the system find a solution for you.
